Live Music for Events in Riga
Premium Event Network curates live music for events in Riga and across Latvia — corporate galas, cultural evenings and weddings. As a Baltic-based agency, our distinctive headline act is Vaiva Dunaitytė, a composer and performer who reimagines the kanklės, the Lithuanian zither, across genres for Riga audiences and hosts seeking something genuinely unique and unmistakably Baltic. Availability for this location depends on the event date, the selected artist, venue requirements and agreed travel arrangements.
A rare Baltic instrument, reimagined for Riga
Vaiva Dunaitytė is a composer and performer who has spent more than thirteen years mastering the kanklės, the Lithuanian zither. A student at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA) and a laureate of numerous competitions, she boldly expands the boundaries of the instrument across genres.
Her work blends the kanklės with jazz, classical, rock, electronic and folklore, creating a contemporary sound that is unmistakably Baltic. For a Riga audience attuned to the region's cultural heritage, that combination of ancestral instrument and modern voice feels both familiar and entirely fresh.
Performing as a solo kanklės act, she is a natural fit for cultural events, receptions, weddings, private parties and art events — moments that call for a quietly remarkable centrepiece rather than a conventional ensemble.
Riga venues, occasions and settings
Riga rewards live music that matches its setting. A solo kanklės suits the city's UNESCO-listed Old Town, its celebrated Art Nouveau quarter and the grand riverside boardrooms and ballrooms where Latvia's cultural and corporate life is hosted. It is acoustic, self-contained and visually striking.
We frame the act for cultural and national programmes, gallery openings and museum evenings, after-dinner sets at five-star hotels, and diplomatic or embassy receptions where a distinctively Baltic welcome carries weight. The kanklės offers a memorable point of difference for international guests.
For weddings and private celebrations across Riga and wider Latvia, a solo kanklės brings an intimate, ceremonial quality to arrivals, vows and receptions — equally at home in a historic hall or a contemporary waterfront space.
