Flamenco & World-Music Trio for Hire in Prague
For a flamenco or world-music act in Prague, few names carry the standing of the Shahab Tolouie Trio. Based in the Czech Republic, the trio performs its signature EthnoFlamenco — a fusion of Spanish flamenco rhythm and Persian poetry — for cultural events, gala dinners and diplomatic receptions across Prague and beyond. Availability for this location depends on the event date, the selected artist, venue requirements and agreed travel arrangements.
A Prague-based act with international standing
The Shahab Tolouie Trio is a Prague-based EthnoFlamenco and world-music act whose sound is a living dialogue between the intense rhythms of Spain and the mysticism of Persian philosophy and poetry — a journey from the Caspian Sea through Persia, Arabia and North Africa to the Iberian Peninsula. For Prague hosts, that means an act with real artistic weight rather than generic background music.
At its centre is the 'Fusetar', a unique triple-neck guitar played by Shahab Tolouie and featured by the BBC, Reuters and Acoustic Guitar Magazine, alongside Gavrilo Alexič on bass and Petr Hádr on drums and percussion. The current programme draws on the album 'Oxymoron', featured on the Transglobal World Music Chart and World Music Charts Europe.
Having toured extensively across the EU, including Electric Castle, and appearing in the NRW Kultursekretariat catalogue, the trio sits comfortably on a Prague concert stage or in an intimate salon — equally an elegant after-dinner presence or a programmed centrepiece.
Settings and occasions across Prague
The trio suits Prague's cultural and diplomatic calendar: embassy and national-day receptions in the diplomatic quarter, gallery and museum openings, corporate galas in the city's five-star hotels, and private salons in Old Town and Malá Strana townhouses. Its border-crossing repertoire reads as worldly and considered, a natural fit for international guest lists.
Because the music carries genuine cultural narrative, it works as well for a seated, listening audience as for a flowing reception — an elegant background through dinner, or the evening built around a short concert set.
For larger Prague stages the standard trio expands to a quintet, adding a wind instrument (flute or saxophone) and additional percussion for a fuller sound.
