Flamenco & World-Music Trio for Hire in Barcelona
For a distinctive flamenco act in Barcelona, the Shahab Tolouie Trio brings EthnoFlamenco — Spanish flamenco fused with Persian poetry and melody. It is an internationally acclaimed sound that feels at home in this Mediterranean, Catalan city, shaped for cultural events, galas and corporate receptions rather than a tourist tablao. Availability for this location depends on the event date, the selected artist, venue requirements and agreed travel arrangements.
A flamenco trio that belongs on a Barcelona stage
The Shahab Tolouie Trio suits Barcelona because its EthnoFlamenco is a living dialogue between the intense rhythms of Spain and the mysticism of Persian philosophy and poetry — a journey from the Caspian Sea through Persia, Arabia and North Africa to the Iberian Peninsula. In a cosmopolitan, world-facing city, that crossover reads as authentic rather than novelty.
Central to the sound is the 'Fusetar', a completely unique triple-neck guitar celebrated by the BBC, Reuters and Acoustic Guitar Magazine. Around it, Shahab Tolouie's vocals and flamenco guitar, Gavrilo Alexič on bass and Petr Hádr on drums and percussion build live sets of original compositions, anchored by one or two well-known pieces.
The act currently performs material from its latest album, 'Oxymoron', featured on the Transglobal World Music Chart and World Music Charts Europe.
For galas, cultural events and receptions across Barcelona
The trio fits cultural events and festivals, corporate galas, and hotel and private receptions across Barcelona and Catalonia. Its internationally acclaimed sound works equally as a seated cultural performance or an after-dinner centrepiece, scaling from the standard trio to a quintet with wind (flute or saxophone) and additional percussion for larger stages.
Picture an evening reception in a heritage palace in the Gothic Quarter, a gala dinner at a five-star hotel along the Eixample or the waterfront, or a cultural programme at an institution on Montjuïc. For embassy receptions and diplomatic occasions, the cross-cultural Persian-Spanish theme is a natural fit, offering something more considered than standard background music.
The specific venue, stage and run of show are always planned around your event.
