The Blue Blast is the collaboration of Lithuanian singer, pianist and voice explorer Liucija Nanartavičiūtė and Norwegian composer, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Kjell Schibsted Sandvik. Two musicians who share the same gift — creating new music in the moment, anywhere — they dive together into what they call the “Ocean of Emotion”, channelling feeling directly into melody so that an audience does not only hear the music but feels itself within it.

Liucija has spent more than fifteen years exploring the human voice as both an artistic instrument and a path to authentic expression. Raised in Lithuania in a family of artists and holding Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Musical Theatre, she moved from vocal storytelling into free vocal improvisation. Kjell, born in Bergen in 1971 into a family of renowned classical musicians, is a composer, music therapist, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist whose work is marked by sincere poetry, surprising spontaneity and strong emotional presence.

Live, the duo works without a fixed setlist: voice, guitar, piano, flutes and frame drum shape musical meditations and melodic storytelling that never repeat the same way twice. It is a rare, deeply atmospheric choice for cultural events, ceremonies, receptions and gala evenings where the music is meant to be experienced rather than simply heard.
